Vertical Entertainment acquired the North American rights to the horror thriller The Dawn. The film follows a young woman who is sent to a convent, where she believes demons have manifested and are bringing her horrific past to the forefront. This is the second collaboration between executive producers John W. Bosher and Chris Charles and filmmakers, who previously worked together on the sci-fi thriller Crossbreed. It also marks Throughline's second deal with Vertical, having previously partnered with the company on the surf documentary Time Well Spent. Vertical will begin sales at American Film Market next month with plans to release The Dawn in select theaters and on-demand in January 2020.
