MPI Media Group has acquired worldwide rights to the pandemic thriller Before the Fire. The news was reported today in Deadline with an exclusive announcement and trailer premiere. The deal was arranged by Executive Producers John W. Bosher and Chris Charles, making it the first time Throughline has partnered with MPI. Before the Fire will be released under MPI's Dark Sky Films label, which showcases innovative horror, thriller, and comedy from the best new emerging filmmakers from around the world. Sales will begin at the virtual Cannes Marché next month with the U.S. release slated for mid-summer 2020.
