The surf featurette Perilous Sea has been acquired by Principal Media. Throughline Films arranged the deal with Principal, which has produced and distributed high-quality TV content since 2005. Inspired by the storytelling style of classic maritime novels, Perilous Sea follows a group of professional surfers around the frozen corners of the North Atlantic. The film has screened at festivals throughout the world, including the Paris Surf & Skateboard Film Festival, London Surf Film Festival, and Florida Surf Film Festival, where it was awarded “Best Surf Movie” and “Best Cinematography.” Principal is beginning international sales in Summer 2018 with an eye on a late 2018 release.
