We Are Columbine is now available in theaters throughout the United States with its first screenings today at the New Parkway Theater in Oakland, California. Additional screenings will follow in Amherst, Bellingham, Chicago, Denver, Fort Collins, Fort Lauderdale, and Kansas City in the days leading up to the 20-year anniversary of the Columbine High School shootings. The release was arranged by veteran documentary distributor Virgil Films, which also made the film available on digital VOD platforms throughout North America. In a press release, Virgil's President and CEO, Joe Amodei, said We Are Columbine is “timelier now more than ever. With school shootings becoming unfortunately more commonplace, to hear from survivors of this massacre, before the politics took over and before the media frenzies, is extremely important.”
